The Remix

In case you were wondering seeing two different versions of similar footage... there is a competition with Magic Seaweed (a major surf forecasting website) of a winter session surf vid. To capture one surfer, in one winter session, within a 90 second edit. So I thought I would mix it up and do a different edit, with a different tune... kinda of like a remix!

The song is called 'Deeper' written and performed by a good friend, Gareth Logan. So has been cool to mix it up. The competition is interestingly full of shortboarding entries, so thought it was kinda fitting that the last shot is of James doing his thing infront of a (seemingly) appreciative 'shortboarder'.

Cornish Tonic

Stoked to bring you our latest edit, shot down in Cornwall in November 2013....

of two friends enjoying the solitude of a winter session. We hope you enjoy.

Surfers: James Parry & Richard Balding
Music: 'The Lark Ascending' by Ralph Vaughan Williams
Water shots: Joel Customs

A Cornish Tonic Brewing

So at the end of November Richard Balding and James Parry surfed together at James' local spot in Cornwall. A final surf it turned out to be, before James left to live in California. The conditions were near perfect and we were stoked to be a part of it all.

The footage has been sitting on my hard drive for a while waiting for that 'moment'...  it is a new year and new films will be made! We were stoked to have the creative Joel Blackman in the water getting some beautiful water shots. The final edit is not far away now, so stay tuned.

Water shooting

Was in the water the other month, continuing to build for our upcoming project with Joel and his custom surfboard designs... and yes water shooting is a lot colder than it looks! Here are a few stills of the action...

More to follow soon!

Air Time

'One Average Day' was our second (short) film, and we were stoked with the response and coverage it received from around the world. Here are a few snippets...

'One Average Day'

James Parry came up for a mornings surf the other month. With Joel in the water filming, we were stoked with what we came out with considering the conditions. This was all filmed within a 2 hour window.

The title is a play on 'One California Day' surf film... only we were filming in the UK, where conditions were not very Californian! James was riding his proto type board that he has been working on with Matt Calvani from Bing. As you can see it goes pretty well, even in average conditions.

The music is from unsigned artist Levi Rai (or Michael Rai), based from Texas. We really like how the song caught the mood of the session. As often the average days with the average waves, can be just as fun as the rest.

We hope you enjoy.

James Parry

Working with Nineplus, we spent a morning with James Parry to start building for our next project. We had Joel in the water with his 'magic wand'!  Here are a few snippets...
